Then Came Morning

John 2:4 NLT

“Dear woman, that’s not our problem,” Jesus replied. “My time has not yet come.”

So right now I'm in the middle of Jeremiah in my read through the Bible. Not a terribly encouraging book I might add... But I'm also reading through John at the same time and I ran across this verse.

Now I know just like you do,  that we live between the already and the not yet. Jesus has come. We are thankful but we long for his rule in our world.

Here, his mom asks Jesus to intervene...it is before his time...yet she knows he will act. Why? The same reason He intervenes as he sees in fit in our lives. Love.

Now for the time being it is always a party that he brings with him...sorry that just isn't the way it is. But even in the dark he reminds us of the morning, of hope, light of forgiveness received and of a time when all tears will be dried. He always points us toward the light.

Plan for the day: Follow the light and see where He leads. It is always an adventure.
