Adoration
Did You Feel The Mountains Tremble?
Did you feel the darkness tremble?
When all the saints join in one song
And all the streams flow as one river
To wash away our brokeness
And here we see that God you're moving
A time of Jubilee is coming
When young and old return to Jesus
Fling wide your heavenly gates
Prepare the way of the risen Lord

Scripture Reflections Luke 15
21"The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

Far from home these are words must have rehearsed many times. These were difficult words and honesty words. The words that face the truth and are real many times hurt to say. They are words that do not avoid the reality of sin, that know the damage that has occurred to a relationship that may never…will never be just the same.

The fact that the relationship will never be the same is no reason not to attempt to repair and restore it. The sad truth is that this father and son can restore their relationship but it will always have this scare. Your grace Jesus reaches me, but it can not take the scares of the past away. You can restore and you can forgive, but the scares remain until we see you face to face.

This son did not expect to be considered a son anymore. He knew the need he had for grace. The grace that could be extended to a servant or a slave that had run away was what he was looking for. That was enough for him.

The impact of sin and the scares that are left, are real…Time that can not be restore, opportunities that are missed are gone forever. The are no match for your grace, mercy and your arms wide open for the lost to be found.

22"But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. 24For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate.

Lord Jesus this is a picture of unconditional love…of love that is looking for the son and runs to meet him with open arms of a father, with celebration in mind…with a ring, a robe and a feast on the agenda.

There were no buts that this father said to his son…there were no conditions made on this son’s return from the far country. Teach me to have arms wide open for those who need your grace…learning their hurts, ready to demonstrate grace.

Lord Jesus the darkness trembles at the love that reaches out to the lost. The darkness knows that it is defended by a cross and an empty tomb.
