Κύριος Notes

Adoration

What can we say to describe
Just a glimpse of your glory
How can our words portray
But a thread of your majesty
But still we praise our Savior
Oh in spirit and in truth
For we cannot say enough
About You

Scripture Reflections Luke 13:18-20

18Then Jesus asked, "What is the kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it to? 19It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches."

So Lord what is the point of this parable? Here is another example of the exsensive growth that needs to take place in your kingdom.

The clear point is that the mustard seed which is small can become something that came go a long way from its humble beginings. Your kingdom in my heart...your church started with just 12 men. Someday your kingdom will extend to all of the universe and all of the created order.

So I should worry about of small starts? That is the way that this things works doesn't Lord?

What about the growth of your kingdom in my heart? Has that taken place Lord in the way that you would have it grow? Am I allowing growth to take place in the way that it is need? Where does there need to be attention given to your kingdom growing in my heart?

20Again he asked, "What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough."

Yeast worked through the flour...intensive growth. Growth that touches and changes every other part of the whole. Nothing is left unchanged by the impact of the yeast. The impact of your message needs to touch every part of who I am not just growing toward but moving into every crevice and cranny that is a part of who I am. Transforming, refining, and bring order to the chaos in all parts of the process that you want to complete within me.

The implication is that there is nothing that is hidden that you don't already know about and want to make impact on...there is no thought, emotion or action that you are not aware of.
Lord Jesus work in all of it.
