Κύριος Notes

Adoration

Majesty (Here I Am)
Here I am humbled by your Majesty
Covered by your grace so free
Here I am, knowing I'm a sinful man
Covered by the blood of the Lamb
Now I've found the greatest love of all is mine
Since you laid down your life
The greatest sacrifice

Majesty, Majesty
Your grace has found me just as I am
Empty handed, but alive in your hands
Majesty, Majesty
Forever I am changed by your love
In the presence of your Majesty
Here I am humbled by the love that you give
Forgiven so that I can forgive
Here I stand, knowing that I'm your desire
Sanctified by glory and fire
Now I've found the greatest love of all is mine
Since you laid down your life
The greatest sacrifice

Scripture Reflections Luke 11:42

43"Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces.

Lord Jesus there are always the questions of motives when it comes to doing your work. Not so much what I do, but why I am doing it. Is it to be noticed? Is it to be known?

The pharisees were concerned about appearances and being seen as a part of the movers and the shakers n their community. My value comes from You Lord Jesus not who I know or what I know but because of unmerited grace poured out on the cross.

44"Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which men walk over without knowing it."

The idea here is that the grave is unclean and unmarked resulting in those who unknowingly walking over it are ceremonially unclean and unable to worship. Instead of being leaders who help people find their way toward God, these men are putting up road blocks hindering people from connecting with God.

Instead of being people who could instruct and lead people toward grace these men were unknowingly and without warning leading people further away from God.

Lord Jesus--Lead and guide. Don't allow me to be a distraction from grace.
